- Oriza Hirata and Ishiguro Laboratory, who won rave reviews for their robot
theater performance "In the Heart of a Forest" at the opening of the Aichi
Triennale 2010, will present their newest "android theater" project that tells
the story of a young girl and an android that keeps reciting poems to people
who are close to dying. As the android gives dull, lifeless renditions of poems
by Shuntaro Tanikawa, Arthur Rimbaud and Bokusui Wakayama, a new human-robot
relationship starts to emerge between the two.
